ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      By Order G-66-21 dated March 8, 2021, pursuant to section 82 of the Utilities Commission Act, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) established a Generic Cost of Capital (GCOC) proceeding;

B.      By Orders G-236-23 and G-237-23 dated September 5, 2023, the BCUC concluded Stage 1 of the GCOC proceeding and established a regulatory timetable for Stage 2 of the GCOC proceeding;

C.      By Order G-6-24 dated January 11, 2024, the BCUC set the scope and further regulatory timetable for Stage 2 of the GCOC proceeding, which included a deadline for utilities to respond to Information Request (IR)
No. 1 by Thursday May 30, 2024;

D.      By letter dated May 27, 2024, one utility, Corix (CA) DE Services Limited Partnership (Corix), requested an extension of the IR No. 1 response deadline from Thursday, May 30, 2024 to Wednesday, June 5, 2024, due to the quantity of IRs received, the limited resources available to draft responses, and the number of contemporaneous regulatory filings;

E.       By letter dated May 27, 2024, another utility, River District Energy, supported Corix’s extension request; and

F.       The BCUC has considered Corix’s extension request and determines that an amendment to the regulatory timetable is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC amends the regulatory timetable as set out in Appendix A of this order.
