IN THE MATTER OF the Utilities Commission Act, RSBC 1996, Chapter 473

and Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. Application Under Section 53 of the Utilities Commission Act

WHEREAS:

on October 4, 2024 ORDER

A. On September 9, 2024, Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. (Wyse) submitted an application to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) seeking approval under section 53 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA) for the of Wyse with (Application). Wyse also requested, pursuant to section 53(5) of the UCA, that the BCUC provide a report to the Lieutenant Governor in Council confirming that the would be beneficial in the public interest;

B. On September 18, 2024, Wyse filed a request for confidentiality, pursuant to Section 18 of the BCUC Rules of Practice and Procedure, with respect to the Application and all other related correspondence, stating that the Application includes commercially sensitive information that could reasonably be expected to result in undue financial harm or prejudice to the competitive or negotiating position of Wyse in the market for submetering services;

C. On September 27, 2024, in response to a BCUC letter dated September 25, 2024, Wyse filed a redacted version of the Application that can be made publicly available and provided further explanation on why the unredacted version of the Application should be treated as confidential by the BCUC; and

D. The BCUC has commenced review of the Application and finds that the following orders are warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders as follows: 1. A regulatory timetable for the review of the Application is established as set out in Appendix A to this order.

2. The BCUC will hold the unredacted version of the Application confidential until otherwise determined by the BCUC.

3. Wyse is directed to publish the redacted version of the Application and the redacted version of this order on its website at: www.wysemeter.com by Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The redacted version of the Application and order are to remain on the Wyse website until a final determination in relation to the Application has been issued.

4. Wyse is directed to provide written confirmation to the BCUC that it has complied with Directive 3 of this order by Thursday, October 10, 2024.
