Re:         Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd.

2025 First Quarter Gas Cost Report for PNG-West, Granisle Propane, Fort St. John/Dawson Creek and Tumbler Ridge Service Areas

Dear Mr. Otto:

On March 7, 2025, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG(N.E.)) (collectively, PNG) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) its 2025 First Quarter Gas Supply Costs Report (Gas Cost Report), which includes no commodity rate or rate rider change recommendations for each of the four service areas PNG serves, identified as the PNG-West, Granisle Propane, Fort St. John/Dawson Creek, and Tumbler Ridge service areas.

The BCUC notes that Orders G-346-23 and G-347-23 dated December 14, 2023 approved the current gas commodity recovery charges, the Gas Cost Variance Account (GCVA) commodity rate rider, and the Company Use GCVA rate rider, effective January 1, 2024. By Orders G-334-24 and G-335-24 dated December 12, 2024, the BCUC approved the current Company Use gas cost delivery rate and Company Use gas commodity price for the PNG-West, Granisle Propane, Fort St. John/Dawson Creek, and Tumbler Ridge service areas effective January 1, 2025.

The BCUC has reviewed the Gas Cost Report within the context of the quarterly gas costs review and rate-setting mechanism guidelines pursuant to Letters L-5-01 and L-40-11. The BCUC acknowledges receipt of the Gas Cost Report and accepts PNG’s recommendation that the gas commodity rates and related rate riders for PNG-West, Granisle Propane, Fort St. John/Dawson Creek, and Tumbler Ridge service areas remain unchanged, effective April 1, 2025.

Sincerely,

Electronically signed by Patrick Wruck
