ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On February 7, 2025, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) made an application to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) pursuant to sections 32 and 36 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA) for an order setting the terms on which BC Hydro will continue to use a highway dedication in the City of Surrey for high voltage transmission facilities (Application);

B.      By Order G-34-25 dated February 20, 2025, the BCUC established a regulatory timetable for the review of the Application which included, among other things, one round of BCUC information requests (IRs) to both BC Hydro and the City of Surrey, with responses to be filed by March 26, 2025;

C.      By letter dated March 27, 2025, the City of Surrey requested an extension until March 31, 2025 to file its responses to the BCUC IRs;

D.      The BCUC has considered the City of Surrey’s extension request and finds that an amended regulatory timetable for the review of the Application is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC amends the regulatory timetable established by Order G-34-25 for review of the Application. The amended regulatory timetable is set out as attached in Appendix A to this order.
