Basic Insurance Tariff Housekeeping Amendments

ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On April 25, 2025, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) filed an application for approval and endorsement by the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) of housekeeping amendments to the Basic insurance Tariff (Application);
B. In the Application, ICBC states that the proposed amendments update language to provide for gender neutral terms; address the succession of the Crown on September 8, 2022; ensure naming consistency in the titles of sections and schedules; remove certain outdated tariff wording that is no longer necessary related to introduction of Enhanced Care; provide minor clarifications; and correct typographical errors; and
C. The BCUC has reviewed the Application and determines that approval of the proposed amendments to the Basic insurance Tariff is warranted.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 44 of the Insurance Corporation Act and section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the BCUC orders as follows:
1. The proposed amendments to the Basic insurance Tariff set out in the Application are approved, effective
June 30, 2025.
2. The revised tariff pages included with the Application are accepted as filed.
