ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On February 12, 2025, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) filed an application (Application) with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act for acceptance of ten electricity purchase agreements with the successful proponents of BC Hydro’s 2024 call to acquire clean or renewable electricity from greenfield generating facilities in British Columbia;

B.      By Orders G-51-25, G-72-25, G-114-25, and G-122-25, the BCUC established and amended the regulatory timetable for review of the Application, which included, among other things, one round of BCUC information requests (IRs), letters of comment, BC Hydro response to the K'ómoks First Nation (K'ómoks) request for access to certain IR responses (Confidential IRs) which BC Hydro filed on a confidential basis (Access Request), BC Hydro response to K'ómoks comments regarding a call on May 9, 2025 (May 9 Call), K'ómoks reply to the BC Hydro response regarding the May 9 Call, and K'ómoks letter of comment on the Confidential IRs, with further process to be determined;

C.      On May 26, 2025, K'ómoks filed a reply to the BC Hydro response regarding the May 9 Call and a letter of comment on the Confidential IRs; and

D.      The BCUC has reviewed the submissions to date and determines that a further regulatory timetable is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders that a further regulatory timetable is established, as set out in Appendix A to this order.
