Royal Camp Gas Sales Agreements

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On August 14, 2025, Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. (PNG(NE)) filed an application with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) seeking approval pursuant to Sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA) of the following two gas sales agreements between PNG(NE) and Royal Camp Services Ltd. dated August 6, 2025 (collectively, the Gas Sales Agreements):

                                 i.            Royal Camp Gas Sales Agreement (Rate Schedule 3) – for the provision of natural gas service for the purpose of heating the camp facilities at PNG(NE)’s Large Commercial Service Rate applicable to the Fort St. John service area; and

                               ii.            Royal Camp Industrial Gas Sales Agreement (Rate Schedule 4) – for the provision of natural gas service for the purpose of power generation at PNG(NE)’s Industrial Service Rate applicable to the Fort St. John service area.

B.      The BCUC has reviewed the Application and finds the following determinations are warranted.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to sections 58 to 61 of the UCA, the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.       The Gas Sales Agreements, inclusive of the schedules attached to each of the Gas Sales Agreements, are approved on a permanent basis effective as of the date of this order.

2.       PNG(NE) is directed to file the Gas Supply Agreements for endorsement with the BCUC within 15 days of the issuance of this order.
