Re: Kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation Request for Capacity Funding in relation to the BC Hydro Waste to Energy Facility 2025 Electricity Purchase Agreement Renewal Proceeding
Dear Ms. Goodman:
On August 27, 2025, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) received your request for capacity funding to support kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation’s participation in the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority’s
(BC Hydro) Waste to Energy Facility 2025 Electricity Purchase Agreement Renewal proceeding.
Based on the nature and timeliness of your request, the BCUC grants kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation capacity funding up to $1,500 to support its review of the relevant proceeding documents and the potential submission of a Letter of Comment. You will receive a separate email describing how to access the funding.
At the completion of the proceeding, the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation must provide the BCUC with documentation that shows how the funding was used to support its participation in this proceeding. The email will provide instructions for this process as well.
Sincerely,
Electronically signed by Sara Hardgrave
