ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On October 21, 2025, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA) and section 6.0 of the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s (BCUC) Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts established in Appendix A to BCUC Order G-130-06 (Rules), FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed for acceptance with the BCUC natural gas supply contracts for its commodity and midstream portfolios transacted for the 2025/2026 gas contracting year (Filing);

B.      By Letter L-7-25 dated May 24, 2025, the BCUC accepted FEI’s 2025/2026 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP) for the 2025/2026 gas year commencing November 1, 2025;

C.      FEI submits that the natural gas supply contracts included in the Filing were executed according to the requirements of the portfolio established as part of the 2025/2026 ACP;

D.      FEI requests that the Filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

E.       The BCUC has reviewed the Filing and considers the following determinations are warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the UCA and the Rules the BCUC orders as follows:

 

1.       The natural gas contracts shown in Attachment A to this order are accepted for filing.

2.       The Filing and associated documents will be held confidential unless the BCUC determines otherwise.
