IN THE MATTER OF
the Utilities Commission Act, RSBC 1996, Chapter 473
and
British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority
Net Metering Service Rates
BEFORE:
M. Jaccard, Panel Chair
T. A. Loski, Commissioner
W. E. Royle, Commissioner
on January 15, 2026
ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. By Orders G-39-25, G-105-25, G-145-25 and G-254-25 dated February 21, 2025, April 23, 2025, June 16, 2025, and October 27, 2025, respectively, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) established and amended a regulatory timetable for the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) Net Metering Service Rates proceeding;
B. On January 14, 2026, BC Hydro submitted its reply argument and an errata[1] from Dunsky Energy and Climate Advisors (Dunsky) on Dunsky’s cost-shifting assessment. BC Hydro states that as the errata introduces corrections that were not available to interveners when they provided final arguments, its reply argument does not include BC Hydro’s reply on intervener arguments related to cost-shifting and BC Hydro will seek to provide its reply on the subject in any subsequent process established by the BCUC; and
C. The BCUC has reviewed BC Hydro’s submissions and considers that the following determination is warranted.
NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders as follows:
1. The regulatory timetable is amended as set out in Appendix A to this order.
2. The scope of the intervener supplementary final arguments due by Friday, January 23, 2026 is limited to Dunsky’s corrected cost-shifting assessment as set out in Exhibit B-8-2.
DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this 15th day of January 2026.
