KYUQUOT POWER REGULATORY COSTS DEFERRAL ACCOUNT APPLICATION

In December 2025, Kyuquot Power Ltd. filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) an application for approval to create a deferral account to record future regulatory costs related to BCUC proceedings.

Kyuquot Power states that a regulatory costs deferral account will provide it with greater certainty for recovery of regulatory costs. The BCUC strongly encouraged Kyuquot Power to apply for a regulatory costs deferral account in its previous rates decision to enable the utility to manage these costs more appropriately in the future.

The BCUC has established a public and transparent proceeding to review the application. To participate in the proceeding, please see the options below or visit www.bcuc.com/get-involved for more information.
