Re: Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band’s Request for Capacity Funding in relation to the BC Hydro CPCN for the Bridge River Projects proceeding
Dear Loretta Eustache:
On January 13, 2026, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) received your request for capacity funding to support Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band’s (WPCIB) participation in the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority’s (BC Hydro) Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) for the Bridge River Projects proceeding.
The BCUC grants WPCIB capacity funding in the amount of $10,000 to support up front costs related to WPCIB’s participation in this proceeding as an intervener.
As per the program guidelines, at the completion of the proceeding, WPCIB must provide the BCUC with documentation that shows how the funding was used to support their involvement in this regulatory process.
If you have questions about the ICF program, or any other procedural matters, please contact Jeremy Cairns – BCUC Lead for Indigenous Relations. Jeremy can be contacted at Jeremy.cairns@bcuc.com.
Sincerely,
Electronically signed by Mark Jaccard
