ORDER
WHEREAS:
A. On February 11, 2026, FortisBC Alternative Energy Services Inc. (FAES) filed an application (Application) with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) requesting that the BCUC rescind Directives 1 and 2 of Order
G-192-24;
B. By Order G-192-24, dated July 18, 2024, the BCUC: (1) granted FAES an exemption from sections 44.1, 45 and 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act for the Chloe Thermal Energy System (TES); (2) directed FAES to file annual reports for the Chloe TES; and (3) directed that specific information filed by FAES in the Chloe TES Stream A application and related documents be kept confidential until otherwise determined by the BCUC;
C. In its Application, FAES states that it has not and will not proceed with ownership of the Chloe TES. FAES requests that Directives 1 and 2 of Order G-192-24 be rescinded in order to cancel the exemption granted to FAES for the Chloe TES and remove the Chloe TES from FAES’s annual reporting requirements;
D. FAES requests that Directive 3 of Order G-192-24 remain in effect as the information filed related to the Chloe TES should remain confidential; and
E. The BCUC has reviewed the Application and considers the following determination to be warranted.
NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders that Directives 1 and 2 of Order G-192-24 are rescinded.
