ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 28, 2025, Corix Burnaby Mountain DE Limited Partnership (Corix) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, for approval of its Burnaby Mountain District Energy Utility (BMDEU) revenue requirements and rates for 2026 and 2027 (Application);

B.      The BMDEU delivers thermal energy service to two distinct customer groups: Simon Fraser University (SFU); and the UniverCity neighbourhood, a residential and commercial property development on Burnaby Mountain, adjacent to the SFU campus;

C.      By Order G-297-25 dated December 12, 2025, the BCUC established a regulatory timetable for the review of the Application, which includes Corix’s responses to information request (IR) No. 1 on March 12, 2026, among other matters;

D.      By letter dated March 10, 2026, Corix requested a one-week extension to file its IR No. 1 responses on March 19, 2026 to allow time to prepare an evidentiary update to correct its financial model; and

E.       The BCUC has considered Corix’s extension request and finds that the following determination is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC orders that the regulatory timetable is amended as set out in Appendix A to this order.
