Dear Mr. Reghelini:
Re: British Columbia Transmission Corporation (“BCTC”)
F2007 Transmission Revenue Requirement
On December 8, 2006 BCTC requested an extension to a report filing requirement that is contained in the
Negotiated Settlement of BCTC’s F2007 Transmission Revenue Requirement approved by Commission Order
No. G-139-06 (“Negotiated Settlement”). Paragraph 19 of the Negotiated Settlement requires that:
“BCTC will study a proposal, for ratemaking purposes, to delay the in-service date of BCTC
capital assets related to CPCN projects until the beginning of the fiscal year following the actual
in-service date of the asset. BCTC will report to the Commission before December 31, 2006.”
In its December 8, 2006 letter, which was copied to the registered intervenors, BCTC proposes to file its report
with its F2008 Revenue Requirements Application. BCTC advised that it has initiated its review of the proposal
but considers that more time will result in a more thorough review. BCTC noted that its first CPCN project will
not reach its in-service date until F2009 and will not impact revenue requirements until the F2009 Revenue
Requirements Application is filed in the latter part of F2008.
No comments were received from the registered intervenors on BCTC’s requested filing extension. The
Commission approves the report filing extension as requested.
Yours truly,
